A drainage pipe has perforations through which it collects excess water from the surrounding soil. The collected water enters the pipe and is then directed to an inspection chamber, tank, infiltration system or another designated discharge point.
A properly selected drainage system helps reduce waterlogging, excessive ground moisture and problems caused by restricted groundwater and rainwater drainage.
The perforated drainage pipe is surrounded by a factory-applied filtration layer made from polypropylene fibres. The sleeve supports the free flow of water towards the perforations and helps protect the pipe openings from direct contact with soil particles.

PP700 forms a clearly defined and permeable layer of polypropylene fibres around the pipe. Its open structure and large filter pores support efficient water flow towards the perforations and help reduce the risk of gradual filter layer clogging.
The pipe, filter sleeve and other installation components should form one compatible system selected for the actual soil and groundwater conditions.
